I need the name of this book PLEASE HELP :(?

okay..

i remember it's about this young teacher who starts a creative writing course in this juvenile detention place. Throughout the book, some of the stories are written (i remember one which was a set of emails from on girl to another planning a murder)... and at the end it turns out that the silent boy in the class of (5, but it's ACTUALLY 4) was in fact his past self that he didn't realise pnly he could see. (so he'd obviously been to this place before...

yeah that's all i can think of... his name may have been Tod or Tony or Ted or Tom? i don't remember.

And umm.. i keep thinking "room 109" so maybe that was the room they were in?

there's a book called True Notebooks but it just doesn't fit what i remember.

PLEASE HELP. i need to read it again... :(
