1. I don't have an exact recipe for my meat loaf but I use a kind lean hamburger, and some times I add an equal amount of sausage to the burger.

Here is what I also add to my meat loaf sorry I don't have anything exact cuz I do it to feel. You want to end up with a nice firm feel to the meat loaf. And you want it to hold a shape nicely. I also use the same basic ingrediants to make meat balls but when I do meat balls I chop the veggies up smaller.

Green bell peppers (reds also if I have them)

    Onions

    Mushrooms

    Green Onions

    Eggs

    Ketchup

    Mustard

    B-B-Q sauce-sometimes

    terriyaki-more for meat balls

    worcestershire sauce

Dry ingrediants of some kinds such as oatmeal, dried out bread, slightly crushed Plain cheerios etc..

  2. Oh My Meatloaf

    1/3 cup packed brown sugar

    1/2 cup ketchup

1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef

    3/4 cup milk

    2 eggs

    1 1/2 teaspoons salt

    1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

    1 small onion, chopped

    1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

3/4 cup finely crushed saltine cracker crumbs

    1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 5x9 inch loaf pan.

2 Press the brown sugar in the bottom of the prepared loaf pan and spread the ketchup over the sugar.

3 In a mixing bowl, mix thoroughly all remaining ingredients and shape into a loaf. Place on top of the ketchup.

4 Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour or until juices are clear.

5 Drain the juice and turn onto a plate. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.
