  1. I no nothing about TN except it's nickname is the volunteer state. (thats funny cuz i live in TN)

  2. -when was tennessee found

There is prehistory evidence of people in Tennessee.  That means it has been inhabited for a very long time.  We're talking something like 12,000 years ago.  deSoto explored Tennessee in the middle 1500's and found a native population.

    -who found tennessee

I suspect that it was the indigenous peoples (indians) from the midwest/plains but nobody knows for sure.  There were some "overmountain men" (Scots settlers from NC) there before the Revolution and there were known European settlers in remote areas even before that.  (see above)

-who was the first leader of tennessee

John Sevier was the first Governor.  He had been Governor of the state of Franklin (now extinct) that included parts that became Tn.  Thing to remember though is that there were people there before Tn became a state - they had leaders too.

-when did they become a part of us

    June 1, 1796  16th state

-any thing they did in the civil war

you'll have to read about this - a lot of the Civil War was fought in Tennessee and by Tennesseans.  Check out Lookout Mountain, Sharpsburg, Nashville, and Shiloh for starters.
