I have been put in charge of planning a Mexico vacation for next October or November. It will the first trip there for the group. It will be 3 women 2 kids. I am having a hard time deciding on what city and hotel. I keep reading so many hotel horror stories. We are looking for a nice hotel(at least 3 stars) with a well groomed beach. We love tto shop and are not heavy drinkers.not into nightclubbing. We would love to take a tour or two. We are not into parasailing or snorkeling. Any and all tips/advice would be appreciated.

  1. on tripadvisor.com, there are 171 glowing reviews of Posada Luna del Sur in Tulum (two hours south of Cancun). Click the link below and read through the reviews.

  2. Mazatlan is a nice place to visit.  There are a number of tours from city tours to a number of country tours. The Aquarium (Acuario) is accessible by bus.  MZT has very good bus service from the tourist zone - known as the Golden Zone.

The Las Flores have rooms with kitchenette.  It is in the Golden Zone.

The link below has a Hotel listing for MZT with reviews.  The listing can be sorted by class. alpha, popularity etc.

Good luck and have a good vacation!
