Young children love attention.  So teach them things.  Play games with them.  Maybe sing some nursery rhymes to them.  And read to them.

coloring is a good start, paper and crayons, encourage them to be creative, ask them to paint how their day went, pick any day and they will be forced to revert to it and creatively reconstruct it for you...

If you want to keep them busy, watch a movie and they will shut up for hours!

I liked to do things like treasure scavenger hunts, building forts, and hide-and-seek.  The kids loved it!

younger kids need attention so make sure u talk and pay 100% to them the whole time. Ask them what they want to do. But come prepared. If they're girls, bring some nail polish and u can paint their nails and play dress up with them. Watch a movie that they all like and agree on. Color with them or if its okay with their parents, take them to a near by park. Hope I helped :)
