  1. Don't know where you're writing from,

but in Australia when we go for Govt positions we're allowed to ask for the interview questions. They are then usually issued (in fairness) to all applicants 1 or 2 hours before the interview.

Particularly if we're going for a job within the department as a promotion.

Perhaps you'll be allowed to receive the questions if you ask for them.

  2. I don't know about the police force, but my son applied for a IT job  in the private sector and was repeatedly asked things like, "What else are you into besides computers?"  "What can you bring to this job."

They want to know how well-rounded you are.

  3. i havent undergone an interview, but the questions they will most likely ask are common sense questions for your state of mind, perhaps a polygraph test, basic laws and ethics, and probably scenarios of different situations

Edit - to the australlian person, here they dont allow you to see the questions in advance. ive applied for many a government police job, and they dont tell you the questions, you have to think on the spot, otherwise, how would you know how to handle a situation if you didnt know it was going to happen? answer, you cant!

    Good luck though

  4. Why do you want the job?
