  1. First of all, chances are whether you are on or off stage the music will start and your dance will begin. Before your show either a) get someone to help keep everything in order while you are dancing or b) get a rack and put your costumes in the order your dances are. Try and relax and focus on changing. If you are distracted with the fact that you'll miss your number you won't get done what needs to be done. If you have different shoes or tights put them by or near your change. Try rolling tights to be ready to go if needed.

  2. close ur eyes and count to 20 slowly in ur head, to organize ur costumes, organize it by colors.

  3. get a clothes rack 4 urself only... or get sperate bags 4 every costume 2 stick intop 1 biggg bag. if u can help it irs easier 2 wear the same tights n leotard the entire show, which makes it easier 2 change=less stress

  4. Breathe in, breathe out. Tell your self you can do this, you've done it a million times, you are a star you will shine like one no matter what. keep breathing slowly. then fake a smile a very large bright one that shouldn't look too forced.

for organization lay all costumes and accessories in different bags, and put them in order you wear them in a straight line. i f you wear a costume twice, make sure you put that bag in it's next position when you take it off.

Also, make sure you put everything back in the specified bag aftter use, it will save on clean up time and about a half an hour before performance go through costumes, make sure everything you need is there including personal props.

  5. If you have some kind of hanging rack that would be the best. You can hang up all your different costumes and share with other people. I have done changes in a hurry too. Not quick changes, but i only had 3 dances in between. I wore tan tights under my other tights so i wouldn't have to take everything off. That is very time consuming.

If you are self-conscious about your body then i would suggest getting a nude colored bra with clear straps and a nude colored thong. That way you won't be completely nude and be even more nervous on stage because the other girls saw you bare. Just remember to breathe and have fun. That's what i do before i go on. I am always so nervous before i get on and then i get on stage and smile and think "none of the audience can dance as great as me, because i have been training the whole year for this"

    Good Luck!! Hope this helped!!

  6. Be organized !! u dont want ur cosumes and shoes in a mess. they most likely wont start the dance while ur not on stage yet but dont relie on that ! have some water back stage to drink to calm down. =]

  7. organize your costumes, in order youll need them. have your shoes with them, a lot of people i knew kept them all in a big tub with a lid. or on hangers. then after youre done, just throw the costume in a tub that you brang and just use it to keep your costumes youve already worn in.

  8. First organize your clothes and set them out before the show and make sure all your parts are there. If possible get another person to help you change. You need to find a way to get your costume on in a specific order and set routine so that you do it without thinking (kind of like performing a dance). One example is to put your leotard and while someone helps you change your shoes you put on your hairpiece etc. Then have that quick changer be in charge of taking your costume (the one you took off) parts to your dressing room after changing you.
