  1. if what you are doing now is successful and you have enough time/money etc then yea go for it but make sure you have enough cages etc and also ensure that you have good homes for the babies to go to before you start breeding the other rodents. if your doing this for money then you simply aren't going to make much money and will probably end up loosing a lot of it because rodents are hardly worth anything and you have to pay for the cages, food, bedding etc which is a h**l of a lot more than the rodents are worth. unless you're doing this on a huge scale and didn't have to pay for the cages or something then this will not make you any money.

  2. it depends how much time you have on your hands (for changing cages and checking on them and stuff) also you need atleast 1 extra cage for every male daddy, and 1 for the male babies.

  3. You don't seem like a true-blue breeder if you don't have a plan of action for your breeding schedule and offspring.

  4. You breed ALL of those? You sound like a backyard breeder to me.

Why are you breeding? Think about it. Breeding is not a game... it's not a matter of just putting a male and female animal together. Mess with the wrong genes and breed the wrong animals and you could end up with some very sick babies. Do you know the mom and dad's genetic/health history at least three generations back? Pet store animals should never be bred, you know nothing about their health background. It doesn't matter if they seem healthy now or the vet gave them a clean bill of health... it's what's in their genes. There are more than enough small animals in shelters and rescues without more poorly bred ones being added to the overpopulation. There's a lot more to breeding responsibly than you might think. 5. I also breed many rodents,

Well i have a a big file of pedigrees for all of my rodents along with many schedules of when I'm going to breed, approximately when they are expected and the months that my rodent females have off, I organized everything so i don't end up with problems, what you should ask yourself is do you have the time to house all of them, the males, females?

the money? the time?If you have anymore specific questions i can help you
