I want to add a little personal section to my Geocities web site, but I only want my family and close friends to be able to access it. I want to add some kind of password but don't need anything like a username or a way to create an account. Just need a way to keep some people out, and others in for FREE. Just in case you don't know... FREE means no $ is spent I don't want c**p anwers like "there is no such thing as free" I don't car if I give out my address or e-mail, but I don't want to spend $.

Thanks in advance,

Brady

  1. Yes, it is possible for you to add password protection to some of your pages for FREE. You just need to have some knowledge about HTML page authentication or Javascript code.

Check the site below, it contains a demo of Javascript password prompt. You can also download the sample page and instructions. Hope this method will do for you.

If not, add in a follow-up detail to your question and I'll see what more I can do to give you a satisfactory answer.
