I need to analyse factors which influence reactions between people?

Anyone got any ideas where to look? It's just a small part of my assignment but not quite sure what to start with.

Attraction between the those interacting, felling sorry,bad for the person interacting with etc.. Is this a good start?!

If you have time,  iwould read Blink by Malcolm Gladwell. He deals with all sorts of researchers who study human interaction, emotions, and inherent responses, genetic or otherwise. he does not necessarily go too far into detail on the subjects, but i found it gave me a lot of good leads into the subject. Plus, the bibliography in the back of the book has a wealth of sources and further reads.

Hm, I would start with a film called Baby Talk and follow the series. It talks about how people question, challenge, apologize, and react when in a conversation. It's very interesting to watch.
