I need to buy 3 presents for 3 friends all weddings are in September. They are not my best/close friends, one co-worker, one friend I see 3 times a year and 1 is my boyfriend's old band member. Due to an unexpected bill my August budget spilled over to September, therefore I do not have much money to spend on these gifts. I am not creative nor crafty so I cannot make anything on my own that involves high skill crafting. Please help with inexpensive gift ideas. Thanks so much

  1. A nice picture frame to place one of their wedding photos in would be nice I think. I get married in September of this year and I know I would think it was a good gift. Or you could maybe find out what restaurant the couple likes and get them a gift card there.

  2. A wedding gift should be chosen to be something that the bride and groom will cherish for as long as their marriage lasts. If they have registered for china, the pattern will include smaller items such as bread-and-butter plates, teacups, and so on; as well as larger items such as platters and soup tureens. If you choose a piece of their china, you will know that it is something that will have permanent value to them, unlike a set of placemats that stains or wears out, or a casual vase that they might discard when their tastes change.

  3. Simple picture frames. Bottles of wine. Cute kitchen gadgets (maybe one of those all-edge brownie pans). If there are any housewares outlet stores in your area, you might find some nice, inexpensive gifts there.

Or find a book of love poetry, write a sweet inscription in the front, and wrap it up prettily.

  4. You could buy nice looking silver picture frames for their wedding picture.  (5x7 or 8x10 size) You can find these pretty reasonably at Kohls or similar stores.

  5. if you can not afford anything right now,  what you could do is give a nice card,  and then get them a gift later on.  etiquette states that you have up to a year to give a gift (however waiting that long is frowned upon)

then you can spread out the gifts and not feel the financial burden as much, and still be able to give a nice gift.

  6. A Picture fame is a good gift to give and it is also affordable.

A nice 5x7 will run you between 8 and 10 dollars.  Sometimes if you go to one of the expensive stores you can find a nice frame on the Clarence rack for the same price, but you have to look in a few of these stores to find one.  Sears,Belk, Macy"s,etc.

  7. I agree with Shut^&KissMe, I LOVE that idea of putting things in the laundry basket, towels, dish soap, etc... I'm going to use that in the future!!! :)

Gotta love the dollar store for stuff like that, lol :)

  8. Coffee maker, iron, ironing board, towel sets, cutlery, silverware...all are inexpensive and also very useful for the new couple! Picture frames are great too! They sell sets of 10 frames for like $20 at Target or similar stores...Good luck!

  9. GO TO CHEAP WEDDING PRESANT'S OK I HAVE WENT HERE TO SEE WHAT THEY HAVE ALL THE TIME,,,,

KITTY WISH WE COULD HAVE WORKED IT OUT HUNN 2006 SEPT. 19TH :(

  10. If they have registries, get them one inexpensive item off of it, then build a gift around that.  Food is probably the cheapest.  Say they have a cookie sheet- buy them that, and then include chocolate chips, sprinkles, a cookie cookbook (I bet you could find one really cheap- specific cookbooks like that are always on sale), whatever else you might use in cookies.  You could do the same thing with a pasta dish- get them sauce, pasta, a cheap bottle of wine- then they'd have the makings for a romantic meal!

  11. small kitchen ware ie pot holders, pizza cutters, mixing spoons, dish clothes. thing like that are extremely helpful.

  12. What i did for my sister is i bought a laundry basket don't have to be very big and go to the dollar store and get like dish soap and laundry detergent and toilet paper and paper towels and pot holders scrubbers and stuff like that they will really appreciate it because that's stuff they will need to live and that way they wont need to buy it for a little bit.

  13. Look to see what each of them have on their registry. Maybe you could get a couple of inexpensive items (if they have them on their registry) for each of them.

I would also recommend that you look at Walmart and Target. They have a lot of starter sets that they sell for a really great price. Now is also a good time to buy things like sheets, etc. because of all the stuff that is on sale for the dorm rooms.

  14. If you are in the $20-30 range, here are some ideas similar to things we got for our wedding, and just love -

I have two different kinds of these - one is crystal and fancier, one is printed like the first one and more for casual occasions.
