I need to buy a cheap vcr to dvd and dvd to vcr - recommend?

I bought a panasonic. It was hard to set up, use and less then 2 years later it won't recognize blank disks to be recorded of several brands. I am considering Lite-on. Does anyone have recommendations. I probably won't pay more than $129 on E-bay.

You could consider Sony RDR-VX555 Multiformat DVD Recorder/VCR Combo.

I have just seen the Lite-On DVD+/-R/RW Recorder VCR Combo Player LVC-9016G and it's been sold for $73.99 on ebay. There are many other models on ebay, to choose from. Good luck.
