  1. What is a "reversed plane prop"?

  2. I assume you mean a pusher prop.

It depends on what you are using it for and what kind of engine will turn it.

The Cessna 337 and Lake Buccaneer amphibian have reversed props.  A used or time-x one will cost between $2000-$6000.

There are some ground adjustable fixed pitch props that could be made into reversed props.  Also many ultralights (like the Challenger) have reversed props.

If you have the time and ambition, you could build one.  But it requires the proper construction methods and probably won't be as efficient as a manufactured one.

  3. Do you mean a variable pitch propeller?one that you can put into reverse pitch.........NO you would not be better building it..BUY IT....unless you have been certified to build the assembly..it takes alot of paperwork and money to be certified and you would have to know how to engineer and manufacture the prop..a tall order for one individual. You should check out a general aviation fixed base or look up a propeller manufacturer on the net.....McCaulay,Hamilton-Standard,Dowty are some manufacturers
