I've scoured the Internet for help deciding which is most user friendly; they all seem to be within a general sequencing package. If anyone could help - it would be for making sound effects for literacy, enhancing voices for pupils with profound learning difficulties and to use with Soundbeam. I would like to find the 'easiest' one!

  1. sorry i just had to comment i haven't heard the word pupil since the early 70's.

  2. A lot depends on the level of your students and who would be using the programs - some of the most basic and simple programs for severe needs check out RJCooper.  Sometimes if he doesn't have it he will invent it.

Speaking Dynamically is a good system - sometimes complex for the user to initially set up but once YOU learn it you can segment what the students use.  Has several voice options and works with Mayer Johnson Boardmaker.

If you can define a bit more what you are expecting to do - I could come up with more options I'm not sure that what I've suggested gets at where you are.

Some other cool programs are PictureIt?  types in little symbols and than can READ the story.  I've also has some success with Intellekeys.
