I need to buy a wakeboard, I just learned last year. Needing some helpful advice!?

I need to purchase a wakeboard. Im a beginner so I don't know what to really look for in a board. I learned on a Hyperlite male board last summer, which was ovbiously too big! As of now I have my eyes on a 2008 Hyperlite Eden 134 or a 2007 Obrien Vixen 137. Would either of these boards be good for me?? Best sites to purchase board packages? Do you recommend me going to a store and trying boards on? I need some guidance, so im open to any/all suggestions!!!

do research on board shape and how that affects the ride qualities. I learned on a CWB pure that was way too big. got my own maven / liquid force diva. I love it... but i got a new cwb sapphire for Christmas. It is shaped different and also much wider..... supposedly for better pop and landings. we shall see. if you are a beginner it won't make a huge difference for now. buy a better board than your ability so it will be ok as you progress. try on bindings in a store. there is a big difference in comfort and convenience features. try the usual water sports sites they should still have last years available if saving cash is important.

yes i remember when was you and i can give you some advice tht will save $$  and will help you choose the right board

: first go to a shop IN PERSON and dont buy over the Internet IF you can help it because this will let the sales man get an overview of ur personality and size?weight thus not making the board to big or to small!!

: Dont buy a board because of its graphics wht would you rather ride tht board w/ the sweet graphic and totaly suk when u ride on it or do u want tht ugly board tht will let you excell in the experience of watersports

: Board demo's are thee best way to get the feel for the board tht you are thinking bout purchasing. wht would u rather do spend 10-15$ on the board demo or THINK tht tht is the board u want???

: Dont be afraid to ask local wakeboarders for any tips.  most will give you advice on how to wakeboard and possibly if you hav gas money and "THEY OFFER"  they might give you a pull.
