I need to buy new trainers. What do you recommend?

I got over a 1000 miles on these ol' things. Well overdue for a shoe change.

I know I should change my shoes at so and so miles on so and so terrains.

I just want to know what brand you recommend. Something that my feet can breathe in hot weather. I hate the feeling of my feet burning up.

My favorite brands of shoes to run in is NIKE and ASICS! They are good for long distance running!

I recommend you to go to a specialty running store (don't go to Footlocker/Walmart/Target/Sportschek,etc - they are not knowledgeable staff to recommend), they are trained staff and runners themselves.  A Good running store will take about 1/2hr to 1hr to try on shoes/analyze/run on treadmill etc.)  Go into the store wearing the runners you run in so they can see your running pattern and also they will check for your foot type, gait, under/over pronation, etc.  Everybodys foot is different and for us to recommend whats the best shoe would be difficult, not knowing anything about your feet/gait/etc.

Personally, I ran it many different shoes (all good brands - Nike, Brooks, MIzunos, Adidas, Sauconys, Asics, New Balance) and for my type, the most successful runners were Mizunos Nirvana and Brooks Adrenaline (I do long distances).  Some of the best runners were the worst for me.  Not all runners are equal.

Its amazing that you run so many miles in those shoes, without having any injuries, shin spints or sore knees...

Wow 1000 thats like twice the limit you should put on shoes.  I ran in highschool and would have to say im a big fan of the Nike Air pegasus line.  they have good cushioning and are a relatively simple shoe also relatively inexpensive, $60-$80 depending where you go.  Or closer to $100 i prefer the Asics brand nice breatheable running shoe.

Try using the AVIA brand. They have this system that is design for running shoes. They call it ecto cantilever system.
