  1. Simple! Watts divided by volts gives you amps.

    Look up the term "PIRE wheel" - this wheel has all common Ohm's Law calculations relating current, voltage, resistance and power.

    Of course, there is another factor, the "power factor," that comes into play in alternating-current (AC) circuits. However, if the mobile unit is a computer or something like that, it will be rather high and not a major concern in your calculations.
