  1. If you're calling her at home or at her workplace etc you need to dial first 0030 210 and then the number (7 digits).

If you're calling her mobile you need to dial 0030 and then her number.

If you've tried all this, maybe the voice tells you that her mobile is switched off/cannot connect.

  2. yess what te girl before me said, but u should go to a store near by and pick up a calling card since its kinda far away, that way u only pay 20 cents a minute instead of the 70 cents or what ever it may be....

ps, I WANT TO MOVE TO ALASKA!!! :D gmichelle10@yahoo.com will you tell me about it? :)

  3. If you are calling from USA, first dial 001, and then the country code which is 30.  If you are calling a mobile phone which begins with 69...., then dial that number next.

If you are calling a land line, dial 210 plus the phone number.

  4. Try 0113-0210-the 7 digit number.

    Good luck

The automated machine probably tells you that your call cannot be completed as dialed. Check your number and dial again

  5. First of all, did your girlfriend take a triband cell  phone to Greece? Does she have a Greek sim card in her phone or is she staying a hotel or with a family there?

Buy a prepaid calling card first ---Go to your  local drugstore, Target, Walmart, etc. and purchase a calling card--Sprint, Verizion, etc have good rates.

Follow the instructions on the card...

    Calling from the US....

Calling from a land line/ home phone

    1. If she brought her own cell phone with her(a triband phone) and is using it .... just dail her number as you would at home.

1- area code - and her number

    2. If she has a Greek cell phone  and number, dail

    011 30 plus her cell phone number Ex. 011 30 347 456 7890

    3. If she is staying in a hotel or with a family dial

    011 30 210 and the number.

30 is Greece's country code and 210 is Athens city code/area code

Calling from your cell phone, to a cell phone  enter the number as such: the + is the symbol for the 011  so you do not have to dial it.

    To a cell phone

+30 and the cell phone number

    To a land line/home/hotel

    + 30 210 and the telephone number

If you are receiving a message in Greek when you dial the number, then either her cell phone is off, she doesn't have any reception where she might be at that particular moment, or her phone is not where she can hear it.  Listen to the entire message  and just leave a message if she has voice mail with her phone. If not,  try again later

Since I am not exactly sure where you are living in Alaska ,

I will give the time differences  so you will know whether or not it is night or day in Athens Greece.

From most of Alaska there is a 11 hour difference....Alaska begin behind Greece. Ex. It is 10am in Alaska then it would be 9pm in the evening in Athens Greece.

However if you live on St. Lawrence Islands, then there is a 13  hour time difference. Ex. 8 am in Alaska  then it would be 9pm in  Athens Greece

I call internationally all the time.

I hope you can reach her soon.

  6. If you are calling from the USA, you need to dial:

    011-30--then the number.

00 does not work from the USA...

  7. trying dialing 0030 first, then the nu mber. Or call your phone company.

  8. If you get a voice telling you something in Greek language, that is already a good sign - means that you are getting connecting thru to Greece but your girlfriend might be in a location without mobile phone connection or has the phone switched off because she is still sleeping? guess it is around 6am in Greece right now ...
