Question:

I need to change about 1000 dollars into Euros.How will the rate be at the airport or am I better to do it ...

at my local bank.If they are about the same I might as well do it at the airport before I leave.

  1. Remember the old adage. "The closer you get to the runway the worse the exchange rate".

    You should exchange at a bank. Check around as rates may vary a little and some charge a commission.

  2. From what I understand, rates change on a daily basis. I think that your best bet is to call the airport or check online to see what the rates are and then compare it to what the local bank is. I don't know about where you are at, but I know that the "local" banks don't carry that kind of currency and they have to order it, which can take up to a week. Unless you go to a major bank in a major city. I wouldn't wait until the last minute though. Definitely research this one out.
