  1. Cell color in Excel??? You can do that with conditional formatting. Select the cells you want to follow the formatting rule. Then look under Format  for conditional formatting. Select that and you have to enter the rules. For multiple colors, you have to enter multiple rules.

    Once you have the rule entered, then select the format you want for that rule. Click on the "patterns" tab, and you can select the color you want the cell to be if it meets the rule.

    For example you can set that if the cell value is less than 5, the cell will red. The make another rule, if the cell value is between 5 and 10, make it yellow, and a third rule if the cell value is greater than 10, it will be green. That would give you three colors, based on the cell value.

    If you really want a lot of colors, Excel may not be the best choice.
