i need to come up with a research question about ice-skating. eg: do all apples have the same amount of seeds. it has to be able to be investigated by myself but not too hard because im only in year 8!

  1. Well ice skating revolves around the laws of physics.

    I don't really have any suggestions of my own but this website has a good sample question that you could use and test yourself if you chose to use this project.


  2. You could do something about the weight of the skate and how hard it is to skate with it on. For example, they are now making special light weight skates. Is it easier to jump in the light weight skates or the regular skates. You could also see if skating with arms up helps you move faster than with arms down, or spinning with arms in as to spinning with arms out.

  3. You could do how much knee bend and how much the skaters arms pull in to the height of the jump. You could also do the speed before doing the jump to how easy it is to land it. Also how fast you pull in your arms and leg in a spin to how fast the spin is.
