I need to creating a powerpoint for my computer class...?

My class was discussing ethical dilemmas surrounding computers and I need help with the assignment that was issued to us. Here are the instructions:

1)Create a powerpoint presentation discussing a current event in Information Technology. Your 5 slides should discuss your current event and why it's important socially, technologically and ethically.

The problem is that I can't find any good current events to do the powerpoint on. Does anyone know of any good ones?

There are tons! Look at the movie iRobot, or anything having to do with Artifiical Intelligence. You can use a themed powerpoint template to make your presentation even more polished.
