I need to delete an infection but I cant find the file!

The file name is C:\Documents and Settings\MS User\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content. IE5\3QS6VKFW\AV2009Install_880203[1].exe

Help!!!!

I tried searching for it using the search but wasnt found. I also went on start then run and typed the name and still wasnt found!!! I tried everything!!!!!! Pls help me!!!!!!! 10x to everyone who responses back!

  1. This is a cache file you downloaded from the internet by visiting a particular website (which one, i don't know).  You can try clearing your cache in Explorer.  This should delete the file. After doing so, restart your computer to ensure all cache is clear.

    Run the program that detected this threat and see if it is still there.  A couple of times, my computer actually put this file in the backup directory because i had system restore enabled.  Hope this doesn't happen to you.

  3. i have norton , and it scans and deletes the infected files.

    you can get it at staples pretty cheap.

    its good forr a year.

    it works reallly gooood.
