I need to design an experiment to do in chemistry to analyze the emission spectra of Sodium. HELP. Any ideas?

I need to know the materials needed and the method i should use. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  1. The easiest method would be to use a sodium discharge lamp and a computer-controlled monochromator.  These may be difficult to find.

    The classical method is to use an aqueous solution of any soluble Sodium salt and a Flame emission spectrometer.
