I need to dispose of some older tv's.Can I just place them in a dumpster or do I need to take them elsewhere?

Try calling your local public works office, for a nominal fee they may come and pick it up for you. That's how I get rid of my old electronics.

Normally, TV's shouldn't be disposed of in a dumpster as they contain hazardous materials.  You can contact your local county office and they should be able to recommend a proper facility.

you can probably recycle them at any major electronics store.  or they may be able to direct you where to take them.

if you live in the ghetto, just put them out.  im sure someone will "get rid of them" for you

All you gotta do is just take them to your houshold refuse site, there is a section for old electricals.
