I need to do a project on changes in indian agriculture since independance.Can anyone help me?

If you just need to find a single topic to use as a project you might want to look at agriculture changes during the beginning of that period, the Indian National Congress in the Mohandas Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru years. Seems that a lot of colonial British influence was finally lost during that time. Another topic in agricultural history was the effect of SEZ's, the special economic zones and how that changed agriculture. That seems to have been a very hot topic in India when that was implemented. It seems that agriculture in India more than any other country is so much a part of everything, politics and the people, no matter where you look in history it is a huge part. If you must do your project on the whole of the period from independence to the present, you will have a huge amount of information. You may want to track a single product thru those years, or look at the role of one aspect, like science, or technology, or changes in the basic farm (size, ownership, production, import/ export products).
