I need to do a tactile display for under 2s does anyone have any ideas please help?

i am studying for my nvq 2 in childcare and education and need help with this im being assesed end of next week and need to do this display i work with 1-2 years but most of them are about 18 months thanks

  1. We've done a tactile walk in the classroom: through a pan of wet sand, on sticky contact paper, the packing stuff with bubbles that pop, then maybe something gooey or shaving cream (but be careful as that will be slippery) and then end in a pan of water and step out on a towel to dry.


  2. something the children loved in my classroom was a display that i made from an old carpet display.  i removed all of the sharp edges and left the carpet samples for the children to touch and handle, from the same store i was able to get some old wallpaper books with different textures too.  

    if you are making a display use scraps from a fabric store, or your own belongings, and either making a book or a table display using a piece of cardboard or light wood. good luck.
