Easy and rewarding and you will be making a HUGE difference!

  2. Your volunteer work should be something that you enjoy. If you like older people & don't mind a few gross smells a nursing home is a wonderful place to volunteer. Just having a young person visit & talk to the residents will lift their spirits. Try playing an easy game with them-like cards or dominos-don't worry if you don't know how to play-they would love to teach you. Ask them about what they used to do as work, ask them about their family, favorite pet, best advice they would give to a young person-anything-just being with them or reading to a bedridden person is wonderful to them. Call the place & ask to speak with someone about volunterring - they should be more than happy to connect you to the correct person. You will receive more than just "credit" for your efforts.
