  1. I think you are looking for a lot more than just wall construction. Check out the blelow site.

  2. Start by building the floor first... You want the floor joists..(2x6 minimum) on 16 inch centers ..2 foot centers can work, but your floor may sag eventually depending on the weight you put in it..16 centers is recommended..and use nothing lighter than 2x6's... Start here..then You can come back and question the walls....Use no less than 5/8 inch  plywood on floors..I suggest 3/4 inch though...

  3. I would go to Menards, Lowes, or Home Depot if you have them and get to the building materials area kiosk for design and materials needed.  They have computers that will do a lot of that for you.  While it seems simple, any building is a lot more complex for a starter than most people thing.  That is why they make kits.  And the kits have instructions for how you will base it, how to put it together, and what it should look like when finished.  In addition, there are panelized kits you can buy where the walls are already completed, the flooring unit is completed, you only have to provide the recommended foundation and follow instructions with a helper or two.

  4. Also at Lowe's and Home Depot, check out the books section.  There's a book on every DIY project imaginable.
