I need to file that I have been moved, in order to receive my 10 YEARS PASSPORT @ the Norwegian Consulate in Houston,TX.

I used to live in Eidsvoll,NORWAY and still have family there.

I'm worried if I am giving up my Norwegian citizenship by filing for moving???

If I file for moving, will I still be able to work legally in NORWAY when I go home to visit?

What's the website in Eidsvoll NORWAY that I can file for moving online?,(in order to receive my 10 years Norwegian passport).

Thank you so much in advance,

  1. Typically they make it very clear when you give up your nationality and typically that isn't at least unless you become an actuall citizen of another country (and sometimes not even then.)  You want to ask the Norwegian consulate, though, because everything you are asking is Norwegian law.

    Good luck!

PS, you might have more luck with this question on the immigration board.

  2. here is the home page of the Norway consultat in Houston Tx

please click on this link to access it ,

you will find the physical address of the consulat and the e-mail as well ,

on the top right of the page ? it has the choice of your language , click on it .........it will change it for you .

to get a passport ? you will have to be present at the consulat to fill out the forms ,NOT at home ....you will have to do this in Houston Tx .......

they will send all the papers back to Norway , and it will be back in 4 to 6 weeks , besides , Norway and all most countries , demand your presence at the consulat in the country of your  residence for your passport .........:-)

please click on this link , all informations are  available on this page :

as far as you filing for your move ? it is also at the consulat in Houston Tx  that you will have to do this, that is what consulats do for you while in others countries .and by getting your passport ? they will see your new address and you may file for your move and register at the consulat at the same time :-)

you will  # NOT #  affect or loose  your citizenship by living in another country , ONLY if you were to take another nationality ..:-) and you only have a green card ..(permanent resident)

as far as working in Norway ? ask them while you are there renewing your passport , for i do not know the laws in Norway ?

if you have any questions or are unsure ? please write to the consulat of Norway in Houston Tx

    ready ? :-)
