I have to find an industry that has traditionally had a negative impact on the eviornment but has taken measures in recent years to improve its relationship with the environment and its image in our emerging post-industrial society...???

I am in AP Human Geography and they gave me summer homework. I have no idea how to do this.

All i am asking is for a website that lists some industries that have changed.

Any help is great.

Oil has had and still has a negative impact but spends more and more of its record profits on polishing its image.

The single company that had more than half of all toxic emissions was at one time 3M Corporation. They cut their emissions by 90% and were still the worlds second largest emitter.

I was an employee of 3M during the period of reduction.
