I have signed up for a Swimming Competition Team, but i need to find a swimsuit that fits. We don't have any stores that sell them, around i'm looking to but one online. I'm about 5ft 4" and about 125 pounds. Do you know the difference between competitive sizes cause at my school I wear a 40 but when i look at the charts that would be way to big for me. I'm confused !

  1. Well, most sizes differ from brand in material, but I think you would be a 28-I am and about the same size as you.  A 28 would be best for non polyester suits, because they stretch, and a 30 would be good for polyester suits because they are more tight fitting.  Also the best, and cheapest place to go for suits is www.swimoutlet.com under competition wear.  You can find so many suits there.  It will also say if it is polyester or lycra/nylon.  If it is lycra/nylon get the 28 otherwise get a 30.

  2. for racing in meets youll probably want a 28.

for practicing youll probably want around a 30 or 32.

    im 5' and weigh 85 and i wear a 24 at meets and a 26 at practice.

  3. you could probably wear a 30. That would fit you. I am 5 6 and 110 and i wear a 32, the size is determined by how long your torso is and how big around it is. lol!
