This is going to be a a family thing so there are going to be 8 adults and two 1 year olds. We would need to leave from Galveston, Texas. Date is unknown right now but looking at Sept., Dec., or Jan. Where can I get the best deal because we be poor. :) I heard there is a boat that is better for people with motion sickness. (one of us gets a little queezy) Just curious. Thanks

  1. First, the bigger the ship the less movement you will feel, but all the newer ships are very stable. My husband has had success with wearing those sea bands. You can get them in any Pharmacy. Since you are on a tight budget, then look at carnival. You get the most for your buck with them. They aren't the fanciest, but are a very god reasonable cruise company. You would probably want to do a Caribbean cruise also since you live in Texas and that would eliminate any air travel.

  2. Try SpinCityTravel.com. You can compare various cruises by price, amenities, etc. Sometimes you can travel on standby.

  3. I can help.... Sept is the best - because of hurricane season and kids are in school.  Rates look pretty good.  You can sometimes squeeze in on a last minute state special...or a past guest.  Check out my website -then you can email us for a quote.  We find great deal

  4. Your poor yet are prepared to spend 10k to 20k on a cruise?

    Try priceline.com

  5. Both Carnival and Royal Caribbean have cruises out of Galveston. I suggest that you go to their websites and see what they have.

Don't worry about motion sickness, as these are large ships and there is very little motion to be sensed.

Inside cabins cost the least, followed by low outside cabins, followed by cabins with verandas, followed by suites. You will see the costs at the websites. The cost will vary depending on dates, too.

    Have a nice trip.

    Regards,

    Dan
