  1. Try the malls or even check out a library. Maybe look on the internet, with help from an adult, and look up a job search, summer jobs, etc. There's probably zillions of 'em. Hey, why not the local movie theatre? There's air conditioning, lots of kids, and maybe even a free movie and condiments!

  2. before going... ask yourself, "why should they hire you?"

didn't you ask why they did not hire you? maybe one point to consider is how you could learn from these rejections.

you can have all the rejections in the world, for what counts is get just one job offer after it all

  3. try an online job taking surveys that they pay you to take. search about it on google for more info.

  4. you should try working from home. i make about 200 a day just filling out surveys online, go to https://paydotcom.com/r/11804/staceyb/22... and it'll show you what to do

  5. I used to do interviews for a few companies where I live.  And I will tell you, for a 17 year old it can be hard.  The labor laws in the US restrict the hours you can work, and therefor during the school year make it almost pointless to hire you unless its just for weekend help.

Don't let this put you down though.  The biggest key is to keep trying, and stay on top of your goal.  When you put out applications/resume, don't wait for the stores to call you.  Call them, and call them daily.  The day after you put in your application you should start calling, don't wait a week.  Calling them for an interview, instead of waiting for them, shows the company that you have a real interest in working for them.

When you go to an interview, dress to impress.  No, I don't mean have the "twins" sticking out of your shirt (a lot of girls do try that, its sad really).  I mean put on a professional outfit.  Don't wear jeans just because they are designer.  I've had people tell me they dress "for the job" to the interview, if the workers wear jeans, then they wear jeans to the interveiw.  The way I look at it is, do you want to blend in, or stand out?  When a hiring manager is making his/her choice on which candidate to hire at the end of the day, you want to make sure you left a lasting impression on them.  So dress in "business professional" no matter where you're interviewing at, from JC Penney's to McDonalds.

Also, at your age, sure it would be fun to work for a company like red Robin, or JC Penney's.  But again, due to the restrictions of hours you can work because of your age, you might have to aim a little lower untill your actually 18 (McDonalds, Burger King, KFC, Taco Bell).

Just whatever you do, don't give up.  Its refreshing to see a 17 year old out there that has the determination to actually try for a job.  Most would rather just live off their parents still.  Keep trying, you'll make it!

  6. Did you try movie theatres. They usually allways have openings. I know I was a GM of a big movie house. Good Luck

  7. check newspapers. see if stores has wanted employees .

internet exploree. or see if your school has any jobs
