I am starting a small business and am looking for someone to invest about $5,000 to $10,000 for marketing, start up uniforms, and little things that will make the company have the big business look. Any ideas on how to go about getting a silent investor? Or anyone interested?

  1. Hey dude,

I can give some suggestions as to where to go...

    Sequoia Capital

    Bain

    etc

btw, email me your idea also, being in investment banking has given me a lot of contacts. perhaps if your idea is good i can get you someone.

    Regards

  2. Personally, I'd be skeptical to invest with someone who couldn't raise $5,000 from their personal assets.  Paradoxically, I'd be more willing to invest $100,000 in a business adding another limo or delivery truck.  Try your family and close friends; if they don't trust you, nobody will.  You can also use credit cards.

  3. just get a loan.  why dilute your ownership stake by 49% just to get some quick cash?

you don't have an amex or something?
