I have never done this type of work (from home) so I don't really know what to believe or where to look into it. Anyone who knows more about this that can offer me some insight, I'd really appreciate it! I can not do anything right now that requires an upfront investment. I don't need to make a whole lot, just something worth my time invested. I am interested in finding something long term and with growth potential. THX Again!!!

  1. Hi, i do work from home, and it did take me a lot of time and research to find the right home based business suited to me.

If you are interested in building a business then our business does have long term growth potential and an opportunity to work full time or part time, i do however work part time around my 4 kids, and i know that to build a business successfully, it is not the amount of time, but the effort you put into it. I do work as a part of a team, with weekly online meetings, and the support and training is absoulte second to none. No party plans or stock, and we have been ranked as the top home based business in Australia. please go to www.sugarmums.com.au/kriscabban and you can also call me on 0429401247, weekday or weekend. I am quite happy to talk to anyone who is serious about building a business for themselves

  2. Anything that requires a investment upfront is a home business, and with it will come much money at year end on your taxes. Being able to write off meals out, mileage, entertainment, DSL, phones, phone bills, printer ink, paper, new computer....it all adds up to over a $10,000 boost in income at the end of the year for my family at least that was the avg. number.

If you can't add a part time business to your profile right now due to lack of investment capitol, make sure you are clear that you are looking for a JOB not a "work at home." Big difference.

I work for a great, legit company, but its not a job. It's an investment that pays you by way of a 1099 at the year end. I do know a lot for comparaison reasons if you want to ask I have the time. I'm stay at home mom now and have done my dues looking around. I've met two people that do medical data entry, but with it comes months of training first. My thought on the survey's the guy mentioned is he must be doing A LOT of them to make that. I've done a few and they take a lot of time and I haven't gotten a check yet. Not even $30 which is the min. to get paid. Not worth my time is what my experience was. Good Luck! There are choices.

  3. Depending on your background, you could consider medical transcription, coding or billing. I was a medical transcriptionist working from home for 13 years.

Many transcriptionists get their training through a course of study while others carry their medical terminology knowledge with them from other health related fields. You would need to get the terminology down, and then get started. Many companies want experience so there's a catch-22. However, doctors and hospitals may be hiring, and after a time you can work from home as many transcriptionists do.

There's some excellent information for anyone considering a career in this field in the website listed below. No affiliation with any school or products, just good info, including real job listings in coding, billing, and transcription.

They also have free listings in their directory for transcriptionists.

  4. Hello Kiss123!

Once thing I can tell you about online jobs is they aren't always easy to come by.  It took me quite awhile to find and land my first one.  But don't let that discourage you.  Good resources are a must for work at home jobs.  I like to use http://www.workathomedesk.com which is a free site that has a directory of legitimate companies that hire home workers.  One important thing to remember is to never, ever pay a fee to get a job!  Good luck in your job search!

  5. There are actually a wide variety of work at home jobs.  Don't expect pay like a doctor but they can be very easy and in some cases interesting.  We currently have a position open and please by all means feel free to contact us.  There is a screening process to make sure you are eligible but as long as you can use a computer and are internet savvy there shouldn't be a problem.

  7. Hi Kiss,

First off I have to agree that if you pay to work FOR a company that wouldn't be a good thing, however, when you pay to work "with" a company or to work under their corporate umbrella, use their name and license without the huge overhead ...that is the GREATEST thing since sliced bread :)

I have been working with a company since November 06 and I couldn't be happier. I have two children that I get to hang out with every day and enjoy them before they are grown and don't want to "hang" with mom anymore.

I get a huge tax deduction from working from home and because I pay only $50 per month and I get paid as if I were an independent contractor, I basically have my own home business.  I earn residual income, that means I am still getting paid for business I did a year and a half ago and the company offers 401k, family dental and vision, AD & D insurance, training and lots of support.  You can't beat it!  AND I get to set my own hours.  It's truly a blessing.

Please feel free to visit my site if you 'd like.  www.Freedom2BHome.com  and www.DiscountOnHealthcare.com

    Thanks for your time :)

  8. Hey Kiss I saw a lot of people offering you online jobs. Just be careful some of them are there to scam you. I am not sure if any of them on here are but sometimes they are out there. You may want to talk to some one in your area who can help you get started and write up a business plan. Some companies need people to sell there stuff via ebay and pay a commission I am not sure who or where to get started. You may want to contact your local bank or town hall. there is no easy way to make cash just remember that and starting a business from home will need some start up funds.

Again Just becareful you seem like a good trusting person and I don't want to see you taken advantage of.

    Be good.

  10. You should have a read of the articles on this website, it will help you with the searching and also how to avoid scams but you're unlikely to get the names of any genuine companies in the replies here as there is no shortage of people looking to do work at home and data entry jobs.

  11. "If a company requires initial payment from you in order to work for them, they are not legitimate."

There are a few legitimate data entry companies but are not hiring and have large waiting lists (1-2yrs). The majority of data entry jobs you seen online are scams. A real company will want you to have skills inc fast typing, may want you to know MS Excel, and will usually ask that you have high speed internet. Once in a long while you may found one online on a job website but thats rare.

If you do an advanced search on yahoo, you will find previous answers, sometimes the info on these is good as the info they gave is likely to have been verified if the answer was voted as 'Best'.

  12. First off, employers don't care about your time invested.  They only care about the job you can provide for them.  My suggestion is to take a look at this article about home jobs and has a couple companies listed in which you can apply for the position.  Just like any other job, there is a hiring process, qulifications to be met etc.  Home jobs, you start out at minimum wage, with some growth potential, but not a lot.  If you want a lot of growth potential, then you need to look into home based business opportunities.  There are investments to be made, but most home based businesses cost under $500.  With home based jobs, if you don't have a curtain internet speed, or have a head set or a land line, you will need to purchase that on your own.

  13. There is a lot of competition for work from home jobs. I got started using

online freelance sites, and ultimately built a business with clients that I

    found through them.

http://www.scriptlance.com (Free - Best in my opinion)

    http://www.gofreelance.com (free - good site)

    http://online-jobs-success.blogspot.com/

    http://genuinedataentry.blogspot.com/

http://www.elance.com (Biggest, but kind of expensive)

The first link is mainly programming, but there are other jobs there as well.

You may have more luck with the second.
