would like to invite you the marriage of their daughter..

and then again for his folks...

  4. If you use the "together with their parents" phrase, it sounds like the parents are co-hosting.  Go with something like: Sarah Jones, daughter of John and Margaret Jones, and William Smith, son of James and Carol Smith, invite you to join them in the celebration of their marriage on date at place and time.

  5. You could say something like

Please join us for the marriage uniting Sarah Smith, daughter of John & Mary Smith, to Will Walker, son of Jack & Joan Walker.

Or I've seen it done this way:

    Sarah Smith and Will Walker

    along with their parents

    John & Mary Smith

    and Jack & Joan Walker

invite you to join them as

    they unite in holy matriony

  9. Go with the traditional wording, and you will be fine. It doesn't matter who is paying for the wedding!

    Lisa Marie,

daughter of William and Barbara Johnson

    and

    Mark Henry,

son of George and Marie Green,

request the honour of your presence.....
