I need to find info on a navy seaman that was sentenced to die,

Question

he sentenced to die, in 1962 for killing an officer.

(there have been a few I wanted to.)but president kennedy commuted the sentence to life... his name was JIMMIE HENDERSON

thats all I know, i want to find out about him and the station/ship he was on his rank, rating etc, where he is from,his DOB...etc. sounds like a good book to write..

I have checked the federal B of P and the only J HENDERSON listed is. J L HENDERSON 82984-020 71 White M 10-09-1992 RELEASED dont know if this is him??
