  1. In the USA most marriage records are private.

    If

    1) You know where she went to high school,

    2) Her class has a reunion committee,

    3) She has told them where she is and what her married name is;

    The committee may be willing to forward a message from you to her.

    If the person is dead, you may be able to find her on a genealogy site. Write if you'd like links.

  2. In cases of adoption most states try to protect the birth parents from their identities becoming known unless they want them to.  If you know her maiden name and where you think she was married along with approximately when she was married you can go the court house or equivalent in that community and research her marriage license/certificate for genealogy purposes.  Some communities like Indianapolis offer that service on the web for free (i.e., http://www.civicnet.net/apps/civil/marri...  That should give you her married last name at which point you can search the SS Death Index to see if she is dead or hopefully search public records to find her current location.

  3. Unless you know roughly when she was married you are going to have to have a tough search on your hands. You could just ask her what married name is.
