I need to find some examples of foreshadowing in the short story "The Lottery"?

  1. 1. The children begin stuffing their pockets with rocks, making piles of rocks, protecting their stash of rocks from other kids, etc.

    2. Mr Summers brings the black box into the square and people try to keep their distance from it. When he asks for assistance in keeping it steady, people are extremely hesitant to go forward and help.

    3. One man "greets Mr Summers gravely" when he gets his slip of paper from the box.

    4. While everyone is drawing, the people who have already drawn are nervously turning their papers over and over again in their hands.

    5. Mrs Hutchinson reacts negatively when her husband has the "winning" paper, so obviously whatever it is that the paper means is not something good.  


  2. Nobody seems excited to be there.

    The little children are making piles of rocks.

    That's all i can really come up with since i dont have the story in front of me at the moment.
