The hotel doesn't really need to show up on your card. They'll ask for the card and hold X funds as security incase you try to skip out on your bill. When you check out, use another method of payment ie) cash, debit, traveller's cheques.

No, they will use the credit card as the deposit, but once the hold is taken off your credit card, it will not show up on your billing.
