Question:

I need to get a router but what kind and where from?

I just want to get one because I have a Cable Modem thats connected to my computer but when I have to hook up to either xbox live or to my Tivo I have to unhook it and move it across the room. Does anyone know what kind of router I would need and where I could find a cheap one? Thanks in advance to everyone

  1. Office Depot, Office Max, Staples, Best Buy, Walmart, Radio shack.  Also many sources on line.

    I am a 28 year veteran systems analyst/ engineer.  I have found over many years of experience, LinkSys and Cisco are usually the best.  D-Link and NetGear are also good brands.  I have had reliabilty issues with Belkin products and tend to avoid them.
