  1. Hi!

If you go on your local council website, i.e.,

    www.anywhere.gov.uk

and try to find after school activities or youth services.

You may be lucky enough to find a telephone number and you can contact someone in these departments that would know where you would be able to access funds.

There is lots of money for groups such as yours, so I wish you the very best of luck.

Also, try having a look on this site:  www.awardsforall.org.uk .

    Hope this helps!

  2. Suggest local government, Welsh Rugby Union.

However, a very good source of income particularly for juniors, is to approach local (or national) businesses for sponsorship.

Outline what your aims and ambitions are, put realistic cost estimates on these ambitions and don't be afraid of asking - if they say no you are no worse off! In my experience it is much easier to gain funds in this way for U16 teams. This type of funding may also qualify for "Sportsmatch" funding.

Organise sportsman's dinners, raffles, etc, etc.

Just remember....if you don't ask, you don't get

  3. Contact the Welsh RFU community officer for your area. They have a list of people willing to give grants to youth groups and clubs. Or you could try your local council sport development officer.

  4. Do what the welsh usually do, scrounge of the english!

  5. Have you tried the welsh Assembly you could get objective 1 funding. If not try the sports council for wales
