I need to get from Charles de gaulle airport to Orly airport. Are there any shuttles that are under 20 euros?

I have about six hours to catch my other flight at Orly. Is it better I spend more time at CDG or is Orly an interesting airport. I don't want to risk going outside and miss my flight.

  1. Air France runs an express shuttle directly to and from Orly to the Roissy/CDG airport. Hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. weekdays (7:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on weekends), with departures every 30 minutes, and travel time is about 50 minutes. A one-way ticket costs €16 for adults

Given the vagaries of getting thru security these days plus the possibility that any form of over the road transport can experience unforeseen delays (traffic jams for example) you would be well advised to head immediately to Orly. Airports are pretty much all the same and it is better to be safe than sorry.

  2. Check out this link which gives transportation options between CDG and Orly- http://www.smartweb.fr/SurvivalTips/STip... or

    http://www.discoverfrance.net/France/Tra...

It's better to go to the link because transport options vary depending on whether you need to go to the South or West (ouest) terminal.  It gives many options.  As it suggests, taxi is not the way you want to go because it's very expensive.  If you can, it seems the best way to go is to use the RER system.  There's more to do at CDG so I would spend more time there than Orly.  But with security measures, I wouldn't spend too much time there because you don't want to miss your connection.  It would probably be helpful to check the airline you're flying to see how far in advance you need to check in.  On Air France for example, you must check in no later than an hour before your flight.
