  1. Run everyday. Do some sprints, jog around the block. Or set up a little game thing with your friends, just for some pracitce til the season starts. To improve your over hand serve, toss the ball high in the air, close infront of you while your walking toward the serving line. Then swing your hand down toward your side, back behind your head, then power it toward the ball!

  2. Definately some cardio...sprints can help you out with that because of the short time span of a rally.  My coach suggested to me that I should do biceps curls and kick back tricep curls to work on my overhand serve.  This will build up the muscle in your arms, chest, and back.  Good luck!

  3. Ok, you should start out by running, and getting into cardio shape. Your heart needs to be in shape as well as your lungs. So running and doing stairs are a great start. Then you could do jump rope. That is a great way of getting your heart rate up. Squats will help build your leg muscles up. To get some arm strength you could lift weights that will make your arms stronger. Also you should strengthen your shoulders, so that you don't blow them out while you are serving. Push ups will also help. Crunches and jumping like you are blocking helps your legs grow stronger as well as your core. You need to make your core strong, because that is where all of your power comes from. I hope this helps you. Also if your school has open gyms you should go to those so that they can see that your coaches can see that you are improving.

  4. I do not know how women volleyball players training or what kind of food they eat but one thing i found out that they are all look s**y and sporty body,i think the uniform help also because it was short and tight thought,i love to watch women volleyball always!

  5. Well, Cardio is definitely a must in volleyball. In my opinion sprints are more important rather than distance. A volleyball rally usually lasts from 8-12 seconds its not a long endurance sport, Running sprints would help. Its like you stop and go in a rally, you rest when its over, SO SPRINT!!

  6. To get in shape for volleyball, take a mile jog everymorning and watch what you eat. This may help wonders. I would feel the same way about not having try outs. Needing to get is shape anyways. And overhand serves, just make a line of tape against your house or whatever and practice getting your serves over the line of tape.
