Question:

I need to get in shape for soccer tryouts..

tryouts are august 21, and i need to get in shape by then! i haven't really worked out much in the summer, and in 2 days i'm going to the dominican republic with my friend until august 19th.

any suggestions to get in shape by then?

  1. i would suggest that you run as much as you can. Long distance will help you build up your endurance and stamina, but you should also work on doing some sprints.  You should try and do some lower body lifting to hep you gain muscle because it will help you become faster.  You might want to eat pasta the night before because it will give you energy. Once you get to tryouts to help yourself stand out you should always stay on your toes...when you are waiting for a pass just keep bouncing lightly on your toes, you should also be talkative, for example when running to receive a pass you should say something like "here" and then point to the general area. One more thing is keep trying..don't give up and go sit down because your tired..that will show the coach that you don't want it bad enough...just keep trying and show the coaches that you are not a quitter...and always keep a positive attitude.  I also suggest icing and icy hot the night after if your muscles are sore!   3. oh i am trying out for eight grade soccer. AND I'M OUT OF SHAPE. the YMCA woman told me just b/c I'm skinny doesn't mean I 'm healthy-HEARTBREAKING- but i know im goin to work so hard! you should play a sport like racquetball or tennis in the mean time- your going to the Dominican Republic? if its a beach, run it early early- do what you can

  4. Well take at least 30 minutes of your day

    and just run,situps,pushups

    do a lot of them

  5. You have to eat balanced diet and exercise regularly...

    it should be a part of your daily habit.

    you also have to be aware of your surroundings and you have to be careful.

  6. go on a diet. And do a lot of running. Practice with a soccer ball and do things like throw the ball out in a open field as far as you can and then try to chase the ball and stop it before it crosses a line. Also just work out in the gym
