I need to get into shape for cross country so I have been running But I have been facing cramps and my cardio?

is so weak are there any techniques or foods that could help me improve my running by improving my cardio strength and less cramps?

  2. sometimes if you run on an empty stomah you will get cramps so eat about a hour or so before you run, NEVER eat right before you run, trust me, that's how i lost my race.

  3. Check your diet, fruits (bananas)vegetables, protein.   Make sure you drink plenty of water too.  Are you doing any strength training?  Are you using the right running shoes for you?

  4. For your cardio, you simply have to keep running.  As time goes on, your cardio will improve.  For the cramps, there are a couple of things you can do.  First, make sure you stay well hydrated, but don't drink a whole lot right before a run, as that will cause cramps.  Also, make sure you have plenty of potassium, salt, and electrolites in your system.  If you have plenty of those, you shouldn't cramp up as much.
