You will have to go to Dept of Vital Records and stand in line then...you cannot get it mailed within a weeks time.

We had to get my  SO's earlier this year in a hurry.  We looked up the number for county records where he was born, (if you live in the same state or county it will be easier as you can go right down there), called them and gave them a credit card # over the phone and had the certificate in a week.  He was born in Missouri and we live in Montana. The online records that we googled would have been slower and being he had a blond moment and didn't know his mother's maiden name it was just easier to call and we had good results.

Go to your county court house for a copy or your state capital and get a copy .
