I need to get out of my lease. If I go to the dealer whom I purchased my car with, would they be able to help?

I know that I will be upside down, but I need my monthly payments to be drastically lower. Please help!

  2. If you are upside down, your payments will be higher on a new car, even if the car is much cheaper. The reason is that your negative equity on your upside down lease will be rolled into your new loan or lease, making it very expensive. Ending a lease early is alwasy expensive, however, you could consider a lease transfer, which is much cheaper. Here's some more information that might help:

  4. If your lease is not a fixed rate(?), see if you can get a lower annual percentage rate. Ask if you can down grade the vehicle and what penalties if any are involved. I hope all goes well. Stay up!
