I work at a manufacturing plant in the USA on the Canadian border.  Our corporate office is in Canada across the border.  The only times it has been a problem for someone to visit the corporate office for work reasons is when they go there on a regular basis.  If you go across too often to do the same thing they will question your status to be able to work in Canada and revoke your ability to cross.  I don't know your situation, but if you only go a few times and not everyday you might be ok.  Here is a link you might be able to use to research to see what the requirements are for what you are doing.  Hope this helps.
